Special techniques?
I've develop something I call a 'light retouche'-quite exhausting digital handworking resembling some traditional darkroom and some painting techniques.

Main influences / sources of inspiration?
I do not have any definite heroes, however I try to watch and study a lot of new photos. Truly speaking, it is the only way I find effective in learning photography. It must be effective in my example anyway, as I'm doing photography only for about a half a year.

Favourite magazine?
I avoid paper zines. I'm not much interested in technical articles, I only want to watch the pictures, that's why I like the most www.photo.net

Up-and-coming photographer?
Asya Shween

Current exhibitions?
Not much, I run out of time (if there is anyone eager to organize one, please let me know :-) At the moment I participate in an after-contest exhibition in the Warsaw University Library.

Current projects?
I plan to visit some popular polish politicians / celebrities to have some original portrait sessions with them. I should start that within a few weeks. Now I'm just shooting people I meet on the streets.

What's the most annoying part of your job, if there is such part?
I have a strict principle in my life to do only things I really love. It works great.

Were you trained in photography or was it just a case of trial and error? In case of any school, do you recommend it?
I'm self-taught. I do not recomment schooling at all. At least not the regular full-term courses. It doesn't work that way. However, in case you really want to pick a photography school, the first thing I would do is to see the teacher's work. Remember, that this is all she can teach you.

Any handy hints for a rookie photographer?
I consider myself a rookie, so I suggest (also to myself) to watch consciously your favourite photos and every time you find some work interesting to answer yourself a question: for what reason do you like it?
